Shadow Chancellor echoes findings of James Cowper Kreston Business Manifesto

A quote from Shadow Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, in her speech at the Mais lecture this week to an audience of City financiers and economists.

It’s as if she’d read the copy of the Setting the Agenda Business Manifesto that we, in partnership with the Business Magazine, produced and sent her two weeks ago on the back of our surveys and round table events with businesses across the region.

The 10 point manifesto called for by participants sets out the priorities that businesses believe they need the next government to set to encourage business growth and investment in the UK.

It seems like businesses and politicians do have the same priorities, the challenge is to join together to set this agenda and bring these policies to the fore to drive economic growth within the UK in the years to come.
