Sue heads James Cowper Kreston’s Technology Team working with technology based companies from spin out to IPO and beyond. She qualified as a chartered accountant and insolvency practitioner with a top 6 firm, working with them for 20 years (latterly as National Client Service Director of their technology team), before joining James Cowper Kreston as a Partner in 2004. Sue additionally is an Audit RI and is Corporate Finance qualified.
Sue also acts as External Observer to the University of Oxford’s Finance Committee and Budget Sub-committee.
Sue’s work with technology based companies includes a broad range of those engaged in digital, life science and physical sciences. She also works with a number of owner-managed businesses in particular in advising on their strategy.
Sue works with many of her clients on the development and implementation of their strategy. She attends Board meetings for a number of earlier stage technology companies to provide them with financial strategic support.
Recent assignments have included:
Review of current financial position of an old established family business that had been struggling financially with subsequent provision of assistance to it in building a new structure and operating model.
Financial modelling for a number of clients with external investors to assist them in managing their development strategy for a portfolio of products whilst meeting their investor requirements.
Assisting with the implementation of new accounting systems and controls.
