James Cowper Kreston has strengthened its Private Client Tax and Rural Business Services team with the appointment of Penny Bowen.

Penny joined the firm on 7 September from accountants Shaw Gibb in Oxford, where she managed its private client practice leading a team of eight.

She brings to the firm considerable strength and expertise in acting for wealthy individuals and their families, and with working alongside business owners.  Penny also brings a unique insight into the running of a farm business, having spent her life on the family's 386-acre mixed farm in Oxfordshire.

On joining the firm Penny said: “James Cowper Kreston has a terrific reputation in the Thames Valley for its work with rural businesses and farming estates.  It has a large and diverse client base, with seven offices across the South East.  Its accountants and tax advisers are among the best and I am looking forward to developing my career further with the firm.”

Robert Holland, Managing Partner, James Cowper Kreston said: “We are thrilled with Penny’s decision to join James Cowper Kreston.  She has a terrific reputation and understanding of the issues that face our clients.  She will be a real asset to the firm and we all look forward to working alongside her.”

Penny is also an education adviser to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
