We’re delighted to share that James Cowper Kreston has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Women 2025 by Great Place to Work® UK – the global authority on workplace culture.

This recognition celebrates organisations that are committed to creating a consistently positive experience for all employees, with a particular focus on the workplace experiences of women. Companies are assessed not just on how well represented women are within the organisation, but also on how fairly they’re treated, how inclusive the culture is, and whether their voices are heard and valued.

To determine the 2025 list, Great Place to Work® analysed confidential survey feedback from thousands of women across the UK, alongside rigorous evaluations of company policies and practices. James Cowper Kreston’s inclusion reflects our ongoing commitment to building a workplace where women are supported to thrive at every level – from early careers right up to senior leadership. Women within the firm comprise 57% of all of our staff, with up to 40% at Director level being female, 30% at Partner level and one of our Managing Partners is also a woman!

Richard Dickson, HR Director at James Cowper Kreston, commented: “We’re incredibly proud to be recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Women, alongside the Great Place to Work Certification. This award reflects the inclusive culture we’ve built at James Cowper Kreston and our belief that everyone should feel empowered to succeed, irrespective of their background or gender.”

Sue Staunton, Managing Partner at James Cowper Kreston, commented: “This recognition is a real testament to the inclusive and supportive culture we’ve worked hard to build at James Cowper Kreston. I’m incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made in creating opportunities for women to develop and thrive at all levels of the firm. As a woman in leadership, I know how important it is to have a workplace where your voice is heard, and your contribution truly valued. We remain committed to championing equality and continuing to foster a culture where everyone can reach their full potential.”

This is the latest recognition in the firm’s continued efforts to ensure a fair, supportive and empowering workplace for all.
