Insolvency Manager

James Cowper Kreston offers a superb environment in which to grow and advance your career.  This is an exciting opportunity to join their well-respected and growing Turnaround, Restructuring and Insolvency team in London.  This role requires an experienced insolvency professional and would suit an experienced insolvency manager or an assistant manager looking for their next step up.

Responsibilities:

  • To proactively manage a portfolio of varied and complex casework, taking responsibility for compliance, budgets and billing;
  • Reporting into the TRI Partner you will take responsibility for the insolvency team,  planning workloads, conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback and recommending and delivering training/ coaching:
  • To delegate and review works across a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases;
  • You will undertake weekly meetings with the team, setting objectives and reviewing the previous week’s work;
  • Carrying out other duties including; planning and controlling trading operations and managing sale of businesses (including the preparation of trading memorandums);
  • Identifying critical issues on cases to discuss with the engagement Partner and carry out independent or pre-lending business reviews;
  • complete WIP reviews and be responsible for ensuring billing targets are managed and met;
  • Ensure that adequate training and development is provided to the team where appropriate;
  • You may on occasion be required to assist with the firms networking events.

Key requirements:

  • You will have been an assistant manager or above for at least 2 years;
  • Knowledge and experience in both corporate and personal insolvency and advisory work;
  • You will have experience in managing and supporting a team, preferably within an insolvency environment;
  • Experience of financial modelling is desirable;
  • ACA/ACCA/CPI/JIEB qualified would be advantageous but not a pre-requisite.
