Finance Analyst

Reporting to the Finance Business Manager (FBM), this role will be responsible for providing analytical and data processing support for the FBM. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of transparent financials that provide accurate planning and analysis to enable clear decision making aligned to the business strategy.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the FBM in preparing weekly and monthly reports using in house systems and Excel
• Reviewing and analysing financial information. Investigating anomalies and providing explanations on variances that have occurred against budget.
• Analysing monthly results, performing variance analysis, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
• Involved in budget process and forecasting cycles.
• Assisting members of the finance team throughout the month in ad hoc reporting
• Developing automated solutions to improve transaction processing

 

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES

• CIMA / ACCA qualified (or part-qualified with relevant practical work experience)
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Must have advanced level in using Excel and have the ability and willingness to advance your skills in this area
• Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and the ability to challenge embedded key processes
• Be able to problem solve and use analysis techniques
• Demonstrates a continuous improvement mind-set - able to pro-actively identify and implement process improvement opportunities
