James Cowper Kreston’s Steve Clarke has been reelected to the Board of Kreston International, the global accountancy network.

Kreston is a network of independent accountancy firms with over 20,000 dedicated and professional staff in over 100 countries.  As part of Kreston UK, James Cowper Kreston is one of its founding members and has had a place on its international Board since 2012.

Commenting on his reelection, Steve Clarke said: “There are just two places on its 12-strong Board that are elected by its members on a global rather than regional basis.  It is a real privilege to be asked to represent member firms for a second term.”

The second international Board member is Elena Ramirez, a partner from Spanish accountancy firm IBERAUDIT Kreston.

Steve adds: “Kreston is enormously important for firms like ours with a growing and international client base. To build relationships with like-minded firms around the world, where we can refer our clients and vice versa enables us to compete effectively with the much larger firms and their international footprint.  I will continue to push hard for the special interest groups with Kreston and for greater cooperation between members.”

James Cowper Kreston’s Peter Whalley is the current chair of Kreston International’s Insolvency and Corporate Recovery Group, and Sue Staunton is the deputy chair of its Technology Group.

Jon Lisby, Kreston’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “My congratulations and thanks go to Steve Clarke at James Cowper Kreston for all of his hard work and support over the past two years and for the term he is about to serve.  He has made a significant contribution in shaping Kreston for the benefit of all its members.”
