ACA (ICAEW) / ACCA / CTA
If you have already obtained your degree (or equivalent) or are about to do so then this route may be the one you wish to pursue. Training is undertaken with a leading training provider and consists of periods of block release to attend courses with exams. There are a series of computer based exams designed to test your technical knowledge and these lead on to further exams which test your ability to apply this knowledge. You will need to be prepared to study in your own time too in order to make sure that you get the most from your studies and of course to achieve exam success. Alongside this you will be developing your skills and knowledge by undertaking a wide range of work in the office, as well as development sessions as part of the Apprenticeship Programme. Over the course of the programme you will cover a full range of business advisory and accounts work, which will both reinforce and enhance your studies and help you to achieve your goal of becoming a qualified accountant and successful business advisor.
Additionally, the CTA is the most prestigious and highest-level tax qualification available in the UK. If you choose to study CTA we give students the opportunity to specialise in taxation of owner-managed businesses. The programme has been designed to provide experience in tax and maintain the rigorous standards of CIOT, while offering students a fast-track route to become a specialist in tax.
