Biography

I joined James Cowper Kreston in 2009 following many years with a top 6 firm and am committed to working with clients to help them maximise their potential.

During my professional career my focus has principally been on advising individuals and their families on how to plan their tax affairs, so as you might expect this has involved a broad and varied range of assets and income streams.

Specifically I am well-known for the work I do with farmers and other landowners, whether they own a farm or small estate, and or are looking to maximise their net of tax return on land.  This could be the sale of residential property or garden, the sale of farmland for development or even private development of land for sale or rental.

However, it is not just about the numbers.  Each client has objectives and circumstances specific to them at their particular stage of life which must be explored.

My other area of particular expertise is estate planning to protect wealth and mitigate inheritance tax liabilities, whether it be through a trust, will planning or lifetime giving.

I am also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the National Taxation Committee of the CLA, a national membership body representing landowners.
